BCS Families—
Due to the threat of severe weather in our area and out of an abundance of caution, Bladen County Schools will transition to an asynchronous remote learning day for students and an optional workday for staff tomorrow, Monday, March 16.
Asynchronous learning means that students will work independently on assignments that teachers have either posted in Canvas or Google Classroom.
Staff will receive information about the optional workday from their supervisors later this evening.
All after-school events and activities are cancelled for Monday, March 16. Additionally, the special-called Board of Education meeting scheduled for Monday has been postponed until Tuesday, March 17, at 6:30 PM.
Thank you and please stay safe.

Last week our West Bladen Key Club students spent an eye-opening day volunteering at Second Harvest Food Bank. Not only did they roll up their sleeves to help, but they also learned the "why" behind the work—discovering how food banks act as a vital lifeline for families across our community.
We are so proud of these students for leading with their hearts and growing as community leaders.

Yesterday our PGC Leaders participated in a fun skill-building activity focused on communication and teamwork. One partner was blindfolded while the other guided them step-by-step to recreate a simple drawing. The result: lots of laughs, stronger communication skills, and a great reminder of how important clear instructions and active listening can be.
