The second part of the WBHS Ag Program’s fall plant sale has begun. If you have preordered mums please email as soon as possible to arrange a pickup time. If you have not preordered, we have a variety of mums available to purchase. There are a limited supply of 12 and 8 inch pots.

NC College Connect is now OPEN!
NC College Connect gives eligible NC high school seniors direct admission to participating colleges across the state—without the traditional application process! Students with at least a 2.8 weighted GPA may qualify for participating 4-year colleges, while students on track to graduate can receive direct admission to their local NC community college.
Students can log into their CFNC account to view and claim their offers. Claiming an offer is non-binding! 🎉

🐺 A representative from NC State University's Goodnight Scholars Program will be on campus to talk with juniors and seniors about the scholarship program, application process, and opportunities they can take advantage of at NC State!

Senior Families: The 2027-28 FAFSA Form is now OPEN! 💰
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a crucial step in your senior accessing financial aid to pay for college, via grants, scholarships, work study, and loans!
Students and families are strongly encouraged to complete the form as soon as possible! Students and parents will need an FSA ID, SSN or ITIN, and 2025 tax returns! Access the form on fafsa.gov!

The WBHS Ag Department would like to invite the public to check out our fall greenhouse!
We have several cool season plant species available.
-Snapdragons
-Collards
-Cabbage
-Cauliflower
-Broccoli
-Ornamental Kale
We are moving the date up because they are ready now! All of these plants have been raised from seeds and plugs by students.
Pricing is as follows: 6 plants for $3 or 1 tray (18 plants) for $12. Cash only. All proceeds go towards the WBHS Ag Program for the funding of more learning opportunities.
We will be open tomorrow 9/25, 9/28, 10/1, and 10/2. The greenhouse is only open school hours 8 am- 3pm.
Another post will be made when the mums have arrived. They will be here the week of October 5th.

Due to an unavoidable scheduling issue, Senior Portraits must be rescheduled. The new date will be announced as soon as it has been confirmed.
The Google Form remains available in the Senior Class Canvas course for students who have **not** signed up for an appointment. We will do our best to honor the appointments that have already been scheduled.

Two Opportunities for Recognition
1. Cancer Survivor Recognition - Prior to kickoff at each school, cancer survivors will be recognized and invited onto the field. Each registered survivor will be recognized by name. Cancer survivors who wish to participate should register no later than Wednesday, September 30.

2. Luminaries - Luminaries will be available to purchase for $10 each in memory or honor of loved ones who have battled cancer. Luminaries must be purchased no later than Friday, September 25. All proceeds from the luminaries will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
