Three adults stand in front of West Bladen High School doors holding donated backpacks filled with school supplies. The man on the left is wearing a white shirt and tie, the woman in the center is wearing a green and black patterned top, and the man on the right is wearing a striped shirt. The backpacks are red, green, and clear, and the West Bladen Knights logo is visible on the doors behind them.

Today we recognize Coach Nikki Bryant and Coach Darryl Rutland for their quick thinking and calm response during a recent choking incident involving one of our volleyball players. Their immediate action and use of first aid made all the difference in keeping our student safe.

Both coaches were recognized by the Bladen County Board of Education for their heroism and dedication to student safety.

We are so grateful for their leadership, training, and care for our athletes—both on and off the court. 💜🤍

The Supervised Agricultural Experience highlight for this week is Brody Rhodes!

Brody’s first project focuses on mechanical maintenance, where he repairs and maintains his Legends race cars throughout the season. The skills he’s developing directly connect to agricultural mechanics and hands-on problem-solving.

His second project is a paid placement at a turkey farm in Bladenboro, where he monitors the health of the birds and performs maintenance on equipment and facilities.

The West Bladen High School Agriculture Department is very proud of the work Brody is doing in agricultural-related fields. Keep up the great work, Brody! 💜🤍

This hands-on project allowed students to apply welding and fabrication techniques while building something both creative and practical. Great job, Knights, for showing how craftsmanship and hard work come together in the Ag shop!
