BCS Families—
Due to continued concerns with travel conditions in our area, Bladen County Schools will continue with asynchronous remote learning on Tuesday, February 3.
Asynchronous learning means that students will work independently on assignments that teachers have either posted in Canvas, Google Classroom, or sent home with students Friday. Staff will receive information regarding work schedules from their supervisors.
All events and activities scheduled for Tuesday, February 3 are canceled.
A decision regarding school operations for Wednesday, February 4 will be made no later than 6 pm Tuesday, February 3.
We appreciate your cooperation as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff, and we encourage everyone to closely monitor all communication channels for additional updates.
Thank you and please stay warm!

Mr. Autry teaches Agricultural Mechanics and is highly active with our FFA program. He consistently goes above and beyond to support students through hands on learning opportunities, skill development, and leadership experiences that strengthen our school community and help students succeed beyond the classroom.

Yesterday, our West Bladen High School Men’s and Women’s Bowling teams gave it their all in the singles competition! 🎳 We are so proud to announce that Caison Brixey placed 7th and Brody Rhodes placed 5th. Both athletes will be advancing to the State Tournament in Aberdeen! 🏆
We also took a moment to celebrate our incredible seniors: Omarion Brown, Lileigh Anderson, and Caison Brixey. Thank you for your leadership and dedication! Help us congratulate the team and these seniors in the comments! 🌟

Bladen County Schools Families,
Just like you, we are closely monitoring the weather forecast for the upcoming weekend. ☃️ While it is too early to know what will happen, our teachers are planning ahead to ensure students have everything they would need if Monday were to become a remote learning day.
We will make a decision regarding Monday, no later than 3 pm on Sunday, February 1. We encourage you to monitor all of our regular communication channels (Facebook, Website, BCS App) for updates.
Thank you for understanding and please stay warm!

We are so proud to feature Matt Hill in our latest Q&A. As a member of West Bladen’s very first freshman class to complete all four years, Matt has come full circle and is now helping lead the next generation as a Health & PE teacher. His goal? To see every single student at West Bladen succeed.

Come out and support our teams, and make sure you're in the stands at halftime during the Boys Varsity game—we’re giving away a FREE Allen Brothers hat! 🧢✨
Show up in your best camo and let's bring the energy! ⚔️

🚌The two-hour delay will allow temperatures to rise, providing safer and more comfortable conditions for morning transportation.
Thank you for your continued support as we work together to prioritize the safety of our students and staff.
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow morning—please stay warm!

Because of our students, staff, and community donors, we surpassed our goal and collected even more donations than we did at our last Blood Connection drive. That matters in a real way. Every unit of blood can help someone fighting for their life, a trauma victim after an accident, a patient in surgery, a mother experiencing complications, or a child receiving ongoing treatment. In those moments, blood is not something that can be made or replaced. It has to be given.
Thank you to everyone who stepped up to donate and to those who helped make the drive happen. You did more than meet a goal. You helped save lives.

Our West Bladen Beta students are heading to Beta Convention this week, and we want to make sure they are well-fueled for the trip!
We are looking for snack donations to support our students. If you are a Beta student or a parent looking for service hours, this is a great way to earn them!
Items Needed:
Snacks: Pop-Tarts, Welch’s Fruit Snacks, granola bars, muffins, and similar individually wrapped items.
Drinks: Capri Suns and small water bottles.
Drop-off Location: Please drop all donations off in the front office (This helps our students avoid hauling heavy items upstairs to Ms. Faircloth's room!)
Thank you for supporting our Beta Club! Go Knights! ⚔️✨
