WBHS Lil'Knight Cheerleading Camp Football Game Announced

Those who attending the 2018 Lil' Knight Cheerleading Camp will be cheering during the first and second quarters (1st half) of the football game at Knight Stadium on August 24th.  Campers should arrive at 7 a.m. with hair up and wearing the 2018 camp shirt, shorts or leggings and tennis shoes.  Only campers with their 2018 shirts on will be admitted free of charge. Parents are asked to meet their campers at the track gate directly across from the home ticket box at the beginning of halftime. See you there!! GO KNIGHTS!

Chromebook Deployment Announcements and Early Pay.....

The deployment dates and times are as follows for WBHS:

Monday, August 13, 2018 - 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM 
Monday, August 20, 2018 - 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Chromebook cost for this year is $20.00. There is no early bird payment discount due to the low cost, however, parents may elect to pay online for their students' new Dell Chromebook before the deployment dates by going to the link below. If you pay online, please bring your receipt to deployment night for pick up.

Everyone will be required to pay or verify payment at the payment window on deployment days.

Mrs. Susan M. Kelly - English IV and English IV Honors

1. Chromebook– North Carolina mandates that an argumentative research paper be completed by each senior  in order to graduate; due to the nature of extensive research and the actual composition of the research paper (some of which must be done in class in front of the teacher for evaluative purposes), students will be required to bring their CHARGED Chromebook daily.  They must complete work through an English IV on-line account.  A chromebook is the ONLY acceptable electronic device for this course – no hand-held devices including cell phone and no i-Pads.

2. One flash-drive/jump drive (to save research materials and daily compositions)

3. One three-ring binder (at least 2”) and  loose-leaf paper (preferably regular, not college-ruled)

4. Two (2) black ink pens

5. Two (2) #2 pencils or mechanical pencils using #2 lead only

6Colored pencils/highlighters  (highly recommended)

7. School-assigned email address

8. Tissue and hand sanitizer (optional)

Class of 2019 Senior Portrait Announcements

ATTENTION SENIORS AND PARENTS

Update, update, update!!! - Senior Portrait dates are a August 6th, 7th, and 8th. Lifetouch sent out mailers to all seniors with your appointment date and time. These portraits will be taken at the school. Please see the attachment if you did not get your appointment card. If you need to reschedule your time, please go to prestigeportraits.com and search for West Bladen.

HOWEVER, if you would like your senior portraits taken at the Fayetteville Lifetouch Studio during July or August, you may contact the studio now to schedule an appointment there. Please call 910-425-0290 extension 2 (senior appointments) for studio appointments.

Dress Down Reward

You deserve it, Knights AND you earned it!!!
Mrs. Hester is honoring her promise! We had 100% participation at the castle for EOC testing, so Friday the students are being rewarded with a dress down day. Students, please be mindful that all code of conduct rules apply for dress down except you do not have to wear your purple collared shirts and black or tan pants.

The Week Ahead at WBHS
June 5, 2018 - June 8, 2018

Tuesday, June 5th -
EOCs on the G Hallway. Students will go to 1st period at 8:00 until EOC's are complete and then 2nd period until the end of the day. Students will be instructed to go to lunch by hallways, most likely. At 2:30, students will report back to 1st period to leave Chromebooks for Wednesday's exams.

Wednesday, June 6th -
1st and 2nd period exams (NCFEs and CTE)
1st period - 8:00 - 10:30ish
2nd period - 12:00 - 2:30ish
Lunches will begin around 9:30 a.m.

Thursday, June 7th -
3rd and 4th period exams (NCFEs and CTE)
3rd period - 8:00 - 10:30ish
4th period - 12:00 - 2:30ish
Lunches will begin around 9:30 a.m.

Students will not be dismissed from an exam for a BCC class.
Students cannot be signed out during any exam period.
